Facts about Pakistan

  • The fifth most populous country in the world with 241 million people and it’s population is primarily Muslim at almost 96%.

  • It is a mountainous terrain with some of the world’s highest peaks including K2 which is 28,251 ft.

  • While Urdu is the national language and English is the official language, the country also has 70 other languages spoken. Punjabi is most widely spoke other than Urdu and English.

  • Islamabad is built in the 1960s to replace Karachi was a planned city and is known for its modern architecture and scenic location at the foot of the Margalla Hills.

  • Pakistan is home to several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the archaeological ruins at Moenjodaro and Taxila, the Lahore Fort and Shalimar Gardens, and the Rohtas Fort.
